Ukraine may soon face a serious shortage of weapons and ammunition, despite aid from the West. Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz said this in an article in The Wall Street Journal.
“Some financial commitments from the West in support of Kyiv have ‘already run out’, while others ‘need to be extended,’” Scholz added. He noted that the potential defeat of Kyiv will “deny” Ukraine all the investments that the Western donor countries are “now making”.
The Russian side has repeatedly drawn attention to the fact that the West’s sending weapons to Kyiv and training and providing assistance to the Ukrainian military only prolong the conflict and do not change the situation on the battlefield.
