The Kremlin regrets that Armenia will not participate at a
high level in the CSTO summit on Nov. 23 in Minsk. As RIA Novosti reports,
Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said this.
“We can of course express our regret that Armenia will not
participate in the summit tomorrow at a high level. We hope that they will be
present at an expert level. But, of course, we expect that Armenia will
continue its work within the organization,” Peskov said.
Yesterday, news came that Armenian Defense Minister Suren
Papikyan will not participate in the CSTO meetings scheduled for Minsk.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had told his Belarussian
counterpart Sergei Aleinik that he would not be able to participate in the
joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers.
