Thirty-six years ago, on these days, rallies were taking place concurrently in Stepanakert and in Yerevan. The demand was for the reunification of Artsakh with Armenia. First, Azerbaijan tried to quell the peaceful rallies with massacres, then with hostilities.
The movement, which began 36 years ago, ended in the independence of the Republic of Artsakh, which we have lost today.
