Around 5:55 p.m. on Feb. 24, serviceman Avag Zakaryan died under yet unidentified circumstances — according to early reports, as a result of a gunshot wound. The press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported this. Earlier, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense had issued a statement claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces had opened fire on their positions. The Armenian Defense Ministry said that the statement issued by Azerbaijan had nothing to do with reality. The events of the weekend recapped in the report:
