The U.S. administration does not plan to congratulate Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential elections. Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Vedant Patel said this at a press briefing.
He noted that Putin “is likely to remain the president of Russia”.
“I think it is safe to say that there certainly won’t be any congratulatory calls coming from the United States of America,” Patel said.
