Andranik Tevanyan resigns seat at Council of Elders

Yerevan Council of Elders Member Andranik Tevanyan, heading
the Mother Armenia Alliance, has resigned his seat. Manuk Sukiasyan will head
the alliance. 

“I stated during the election campaign that my aim was not
to become a Council of Elders member. My aim was the change of power. I am
resigning my seat. Manuk Sukiasyan will head the alliance. Our 12 members will
fulfill the expectations of the residents of Yerevan with their activities,”
Tevanyan said.

He noted that the change of power could have been possible
if their alliance had taken more than 50% of the vote.
