Human rights activist: As of now, Azerbaijan has returned around 210 Armenian captives

As of now, Azerbaijan has returned around 210 Armenians held captive in Azerbaijan, Siranush Sahakyan, a human rights activist and an expert on international law, said.

“According to official figures, 23 people are now kept in Azerbaijan,” she said.

With regard to 2020, there are five Armenian captives in Azerbaijan, of whom two are POWs. According to Sahakyan, the rest of the captives were taken in 2023.
