Earthquake 5.6 strikes north of Turkey
An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Tokat Province, in the north of Turkey, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reports.
“The 5.6-magnitude tremors occurred at 6:11 p.m. local time; the epicenter was located at a depth of about six kilometers, near the town of Sulusaray,” the agency said.
There have been no reports of victims or destruction.
