The struggle is actually very encouraging; the mood that prevails here, and in Voskepar in the previous days speaks of determination. Film Director Davit Sahakyants said this to ABC media.
“The determination of the people of Tavush gives us strength. It gives strength to those who are far from Tavush. Every time you come here, you see that this struggle is actually gaining new momentum and getting stronger. I get this impression; that is why I’m here now, because I feel that I have more hope and that this struggle will develop,” he said.
When asked whether he sees prospects of peace and whether it is possible to live in peace and harmony with these neighbors, Sahakyants said: “I am convinced that it is not possible; in general, it is not possible to live normally with such bloodthirsty societies, especially under the conditions that have been formed in the wake of the 44-day war, when we are being humiliated and mortified. We only whet the enemy’s appetite; I do not believe in peace under these conditions. Unfortunately, we do not have the opportunity to put forward any conditions; everything is done for us, all decisions are made for us, and we do not have any role today. Now, we have become puppets that are manipulated as others wish, and unfortunately, these puppets are in the hands of the enemy, both internal and external.”
