Advocate: Instead of arresting those who drove toward protesters and cursed them, the police are arresting the protesters
Vahagn Makhsudyan’s action cannot be interpreted as hooliganism, because he did not drag protesters or security forces, did not curse, and did not go into a confrontation. Thus, he did not commit an act of hooliganism. Makhsudyan’s advocate Hovhannes Khudoyan said this to ABC media.
“Makhsudyan reacted appropriately by hitting the car windshield as the car drove toward them, and the driver cursed them. The surprising thing is that the police did not take any preventive measures against those who hit the residents, although what they did was an act of hooliganism,” Khudoyan said.
To remind, during an awareness campaign in the town of Ijevan yesterday the police arrested Vahagn Makhsudyan, the son of reservist Col. Mihran Makhsudyan. Criminal proceedings have been brought against him.
