After the protest in support of Tavush, held on the highway from Yerevan to Tbilisi, at the junction of Debet village, the police used violence against the protesters and incited a fight, Coordinator of the Hayakve initiative Avetik Chalabyan told ABCmedia.
“We told them that we would open the road after we ended the awareness campaign, and we did so. We had opened the road, and the traffic was back to normal again when they started using violence against us. During the clashes, the protesters incurred injuries. I was also slightly injured. Violence was used against Grigor Grigoryan. The latter has been detained,” Chalabyan said.
