Turkey declares trade boycott against Israel

The second stage of the measures taken at the state level has begun; the export and import operations related to Israel have been suspended, covering all kinds of goods. As Anadolu Ajansı writes, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey said this in a statement.

“The massacre, humanitarian disaster, and physical destruction launched by Israel continue, and not heeding international ceasefire efforts, the Israeli government cut off the flow of humanitarian aid. In this regard, since April 9, 2024, Turkey has restricted the export of 54 groups of goods to Israel. The decision notes that the restrictive measures will remain in force until Israel declares an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensures an uninterrupted and sufficient flow of humanitarian aid.

In this regard, the implementation of the second stage of measures undertaken at the state level has begun. The export and import operations related to Israel have been suspended for all product groups. Turkey will strictly and resolutely implement these new measures until the Israeli government allows an uninterrupted and sufficient flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza,” the Turkish Ministry of Trade said in a statement.
