The man from Jujevan who is drawing borders: Who is Azerbaijan’s deputy prime minister having Armenian education?

In one country, the actual leader is from Ijevan, Tavush, while in the other one, the second important person in the leadership, i.e. the deputy prime minister, was born in Tavush, specifically in Jujevan. With the delimitation maps in his hands, he considers Tavush to belong to Azerbaijan. At the same time, the other leader from Yenokavan, being a representative of a hospitable nation, is trying to give territories to his fellow countryman on a tray.

A lot has been said about Pashinyan. Let us now talk about Shahin Mustafayev, the deputy prime minister of Azerbaijan. He was born in Jujevan village of Tavush Province. He attended the local school, then moved to Yerevan to receive higher education. However, his student years coincided with the Artsakh movement, and in 1989, Mustafayev returned to Baku, Azerbaijan.

Unlike his sisters, who showed their anti-Armenian attitude since childhood, Shahin Mustafayev was more reserved, maybe even a diplomat. The essays found in his school notebook also speak about it.

The mother of the family took upon herself the responsibility of bringing her children up as Azerbaijani patriots. The sisters treated Armenia and Armenians more harshly, while Mustafayev was able to control his emotions, think for the benefit of Azerbaijan, and remain silent.
