Commenting on the threats that KP member Khachatur Sukiasyan uttered, political scientist Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan told ABC Media that this attests to his inner fears.
According to him, the authorities betray their goals because of inner fears.
“That’s why, an hour later, he had to comment on what he said through the official media, literally eating his words. This is what they are. They are afraid; they understand that the situation in the country has changed; they see that people no longer approve of these authorities,” Melik-Shahnazaryan said.
According to him, the authorities are trying to somehow handle the situation but instead jump out of the frying pan into the fire, because with such statements, they widen the gap between people and the authorities. Melik-Shahnazaryan also noted that the authorities have not fulfilled any of the promises they made when coming to power.
