Russia is planning to finally block YouTube in September, a source close to the presidential office told Gazeta.Ru. This information was confirmed by a source of a company that collects information for law enforcement agencies.
“There will be a certain degradation between July and August, that is, the operation of YouTube will deteriorate in some oblasts. In some cases it will slow down, in other cases it will crash. The operation will be blocked in September,” the source said.
Another source said they have also received information about the suspension of the service in the fall.
