Israeli foreign minister cancels meeting with Guterres after remarks on Israeli–Palestinian conflict

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen has criticized U.N.
Secretary-General António Guterres for his remarks on the Israeli–Palestinian
conflict at the U.N. Security Council session.

“Mr. Secretary-General, are you living in a world of
make-believe? Because you are certainly not living in this world,”  Cohen
said at the U.N. Security Council meeting. 

Cohen also called off his private meeting with Guterres,
which he announced later on his X page.

“I will not meet with the U.N. Secretary-General. Since Oct.
7, there has been left no room for a balanced approach,” the Israeli foreign
minister wrote.
