Hungary provides aid to flood victims in Lori Province and forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh
Davit Nersisyan, the president of the Armenian Red Cross Society, and Tristan Azbej, Hungary’s state secretary for the Aid of Persecuted Christians and the Hungary Helps Program, signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Under the memorandum, the Government of Hungary provides about €500,000 in aid to the Armenian Red Cross Society to provide food, hygiene products and bedding to 1,000 people affected by the floods in Lori Province and 5,000 people forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
According to Azbej, the cooperation is belated, but this step can be viewed as the beginning of further cooperation.
