NATO calls on Tbilisi to speed up reforms to join alliance

Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy of NATO and NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina called on the Georgian authorities to speed up reforms in order to join the alliance.

In an X post, Colomina confirmed NATO’s support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.

“NATO supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, is committed to our long-standing partnership with Georgia and calls on its government to accelerate reforms to strengthen democratic institutions and advance Georgian people’s aspirations towards Euro-Atlantic integration,” the official wrote.
