Critical threat level in Brussels

Critical threat level in Brussels

Critical terrorism threat level has been recorded in
Brussels after an unknown person opened fire and two people were killed as a
result, the Russian Service of DW writes. A representative of the Federal
Prosecutor’s Office of Belgium urged people to stay at home until danger
passed.

As noted, the terrorist might be connected with the
terrorist group of the Islamic State. He managed to flee and hide out. The
police are now looking for him.

Official theory says that Swedish citizens were the target
of the attack. The attack took place at around 7:00 p.m. local time before the
UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying match between Belgium and Sweden. The match was
abandoned.
