North Korea has sent more than 160 balloons filled with garbage to South Korea, Yonhap news agency reports.
About 30 bags of garbage were found in the northern regions of the central Gyeonggi Province and the country’s capital.
The balloons were filled with household waste: paper and plastic bottles. No dangerous substances were found.
Both North and South Korea used balloon technology in their propaganda campaigns after the Korean War in the 1950s.
