Putin awards former Armenian ambassador to Russia Order of Friendship
Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded former Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan the Order of Friendship for his services in strengthening the ties between the two countries.
“Vagharshak Harutyunyan, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, was awarded the Order of Friendship for his services aimed at strengthening friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between Russia and Armenia,” reads the document.
Vagharshak Harutyunyan had held the position of Armenian ambassador to Russia since 2022. On Aug. 15, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan appointed Gurgen Arsenyan, a former deputy of the party led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as the new ambassador to Russia.
