Iran’s permanent representative to UN: Israel understands only the language of force
Israel understands only the language of force, and Tel Aviv’s policy has led to the failure of diplomacy, Permanent Representative of Iran to the U.N. Amir Saeid Iravani said on Oct. 2.
Iravani noted that Iran consistently advocates for peace and stability in the Middle East region and calls for an immediate ceasefire in order to avoid casualties among the civilian population.
“We have been committed to this position for more than a year. However, practice shows that Israel understands only the language of force. Diplomacy has repeatedly failed because Israel considers restraint not as a gesture of goodwill, but as a weakness that can be exploited,” Iravani said at the U.N. Security Council session.
