Peskov: Russia does not interfere in the affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan

Russia does not interfere in the affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for Russian president, said in an interview to Izvestiya.

“According to the CIS format, the leaders of the member states always sit at the same table, but this does not mean that Moscow interferes in the affairs of Baku and Yerevan. One way or another, Armenia and Azerbaijan continue their dialogue within the framework of the CIS. While the rest, their bilateral negotiations, is under their sovereign jurisdiction, not ours,” Peskov said, adding that the Russian side conducts its own negotiations with both countries regarding Russian-Armenian and Russian-Azerbaijani relations.
