Russia’s Foreign Ministry: The US elections will not have a significant impact on the Ukrainian crisis

The U.S. elections are unlikely to have a significant impact on the situation created around the Ukrainian crisis. A bipartisan consensus has been formed in Washington regarding support for Ukraine and confrontation with Russia, Alexander Polishchuk, director of the Second CIS Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told RIA Novosti.

According to Polishchuk, Kyiv’s statement about the possible cessation of hostilities is aimed at influencing the presidential election campaign in the U.S.

Commenting on the “assumptions” about the end of the conflict in Ukraine in 2025, the official stated that it will depend exclusively on the degree of realization of the goals of the special military operation.
