Yury Ushakov, assistant to the Russian president, announced that representatives of 36 states, including 22 leaders, will attend the BRICS and BRICS+/Outreach summits to be held in Kazan on Oct. 23–24.
The official noted that the Russian side has invited to Kazan its closest neighbors from the CIS, representatives of countries interested in BRICS membership or close partnership, as well as countries that currently preside over leading multilateral organizations.
Ushakov answered positively to the clarifying question of whether the participation of the representatives of Armenia in the activities of the summit is planned.
