Peskov: The line adopted by Moldovan President Maia Sandu has a large number of opponents

The line adopted by Moldovan President Maia Sandu has many opponents, as indicated by the initial results of the country’s presidential elections, Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said.

He called the election campaign held in Moldova to be unfree.

“The first thing we can see is the growth rate of mechanical, inexplicable votes in favor of Sandu and the referendum participants inclined toward the European Union. In fact, any observer who at least understands the nature of political processes can identify these anomalies by adding these votes,” the Kremlin spokesperson said.

Peskov noted that the indicators and the dynamics of their changes raise many questions.
