In addition to ethnic cleansing, Gaza is facing starvation
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini warned of a serious threat of famine in the northern Gaza Strip, calling for urgent action.
According to him, the north of the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to genocide and ethnic cleansing by the Israeli regime for more than a month, is now starving.
“Israel is using hunger as a weapon, depriving the people of Gaza of their basic needs, including food,” Lazzarini said. “The humanitarian aid reaching Gaza is insufficient and covers only 6% of the Palestinians’ daily needs.”
The head of the agency called for urgent steps to be taken regarding the famine in the north of the Gaza Strip, stressing that political will is needed to increase humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
