Iranian Army General Staff: Iranian officials’ helicopter crash was not an assassination attempt
The crash of the helicopter carrying President Raisi, the foreign minister, and other officials is not related to sabotage, assassination attempts, or electronic interference, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said in a statement.
To remind, several high-ranking Iranian officials died in a helicopter crash in spring 2024 while returning from occupied Artsakh. During that time, Iranian officials were on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
Following the crash, international media began to speculate about the reasons behind it, suggesting that there may have been an assassination attempt or sabotage against the Iranian officials.
