Hamas confirms death of 1 of its commanders in Lebanon

Hamas has confirmed that one of the commanders of its military wing, Hasan Ahmad Farhat, has been killed in southern Lebanon in an Israeli strike. Hamas made a relevant post on Telegram.

Farhat’s son, Hamza, who was also a member of the group, was also killed.

Earlier on Friday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of Farhat in western Lebanon. According to the IDF, Farhat had “organized numerous terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF members.”
