Russian and US officials to meet in Istanbul

On April 10, delegations from the United States and Russia will meet for the second time in Istanbul, aiming to make progress in the further stabilization of bilateral mission operations, U.S. State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said.

“There are no political or security issues on the agenda, and Ukraine is not on the agenda at all—absolutely not. These negotiations are focused exclusively on the work of our embassies, rather than on the overall normalization of bilateral relations, which can only occur, as we have already noted, after the establishment of peace between Russia and Ukraine,” Bruce stated.
