
Rubio and Fidan discuss regional security and importance of strengthening NATO
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today “the dangers to regional security and stability posed by Iran and its proxies”, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Tammy Bruce said.
As noted, the sides agreed on the importance of counterterrorism cooperation and strengthening NATO.
According to Turkish sources, the sides discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and the United States. Particular attention was paid to the situation in Syria and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. The ministers also discussed efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
