UN International Court rejects several Armenian claims on conditions of Armenians illegally detained in Baku
The U.N. International Court of Justice has rejected several demands made by Armenia concerning the conditions of detention and treatment of Armenians held unlawfully in Baku, including Ruben Vardanyan, according to a statement from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The report notes that, after reviewing Azerbaijan’s response and the relevant evidence presented in the case regarding the application of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, the Court decided not to request additional information, nor to demand an independent investigation or expert opinion on the detention conditions of the prisoners,” Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said.
