Iran and Russia will not allow the West to extend its influence in the region, even by instigating a new war: Iranologost on Mirzoyan’s visits
Today, a meeting was held in Tehran between Armenian Foreign
Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
According to Iranologist Harut Artin Arakelyan, the sole aim
of Ararat Mirzoyan’s today’s visit to Iran and tomorrow’s visit to Moscow is to
present the two sides with the negotiation process following the latest
meetings.
“In fact, the two sides are not concerned that Artsakh
may become part of Azerbaijan. After all, they can say that Artsakh belongs to
Armenians, and we are free to decide its future. In fact, they are concerned
about the impact that the extension of Western influence in the region can have
on Iran and Russia. In this regard, they will not remain mere observers. They
will disrupt this process, even by instigating a new war in the region,”
the Iranologost said during his meeting with ABC Media.
