The Washington Post removes post about Vance and the ‘Russian’ South Caucasus

The Washington Post posted on social media about US Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan, referring to the South Caucasus as “Russian.” Later, in a separate post, the newspaper acknowledged the mistake and stated that it had deleted the post.

“Correction: In a previous version of this post, the South Caucasus was mistakenly referred to as part of Russia. This region, which includes the territories of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, is not part of Russia. We have deleted the previous tweet,” The Washington Post wrote.
