Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal opens transformation opportunities for entire South Caucasus, US State Department says
The peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, brokered by US President Donald Trump, opens up opportunities for transformation across the South Caucasus. Georgia can both contribute to the potential stability and prosperity enabled by this agreement and benefit significantly from it, US State Department officials told the Georgian newspaper Netgazeti.
As noted, the US emphasized its commitment to building constructive relations with Georgia.
“We are also discussing specific steps the Georgian government can take to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening and developing relations between our countries,” the State Department said.
