French-Armenian public figure: Although the relations between France and Azerbaijan are tense, they stick to their economic cooperation

Only one person voted against the resolution of the Senate, a person we know, someone who is known for his close ties with Azerbaijan.

It is not the first time that the Senate has appealed to the French authorities; this is being done under public pressure. Referring to the French Senate resolution calling for sanctions against Azerbaijan, French-Armenian public and political figure Hilda Tchoboian said this to ABC media.

“We cannot say what effect this single resolution will have on France’s foreign policy, although everyone, including the opposition forces, confirms that France is the only country that understands the problems of Armenia and tries to help,” she said.

Tchoboian noted that the only person who voted against the resolution is someone they know, someone who stands out for his connections with Azerbaijan.

“Today we can see that the relations between France and Azerbaijan are rather poor; sanctions are mutually imposed: arrests of diplomats, deportations, etc.,” Tchoboian noted, adding that Azerbaijan is trying to destabilize the situation in France by financing various movements, but comparing the caliber of the two countries, those attempts seem simply ridiculous.

Tchoboian, however, advises us not to be deceived by this support at the level of the parliament, as France and large French organizations, at least economically, are in close cooperation with Azerbaijan.
