Mihran Makhsudyan summoned to Investigative Committee as witness to clash between police and protesters

Following the clashes between protesters and security forces during the struggle for Tavush, Col. Mihran Makhsudyan has been invited to the Investigative Committee for the second time.

Makhsudyan told ABC media why he was summoned.

“I was summoned to the Investigative Committee as a witness. I was present at the clash between people and the police. A full investigation is being carried out now; I cannot say whether a case has been initiated against the residents or the police,” Makhsudyan said.

To remind, during one of the protests in support of Tavush, a clash broke out between the police and protesters. Afterward, a number of protesters were arrested. Mihran Makhsudyan’s son, Vahagn Makhsudyan, was among them. He has been taken into custody for two months.
