Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Kazakhstan will not be a mediator in the negotiations between the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers

Aybek Smadiyarov, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, said at a press briefing that the authorities of Kazakhstan will not be a mediator in the negotiations between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Almaty.

“Such negotiations are planned in Almaty. We are now in contact with our partners in Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is only a gesture of goodwill by us,” Smadiyarov said.

To remind, earlier, Spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ani Badalyan said that there is an agreement for a meeting between the ministers at the suggestion of the Kazakh side. The meeting will take place in Almaty.
