Gurgen Melikyan: Archbishop Bagrat is the candidate for prime minister

We have been in meetings and discussions for a month; the vast majority agreed that Archbishop Bagrat should be the candidate for prime minister, public intellectual Gurgen Melikyan said.

“Our movement emerged from the land, from the land of Tavush, which is in danger today. We have become the fruits of that tree, born from that land. A person’s life is connected with the land, and the life of the nation is connected with the native land. Our movement was initiated by a man who felt it very well. He has served that land for 30 years; he is a person whose life is a service. From the very beginning of his conscious life, this man chose to serve God, his country, his land, and his people,” Melikyan said.

He noted that today we need an opportunity to be able to rebuild our country.

“A very difficult phase awaits us, but we must overcome this difficulty and understand that whoever takes responsibility now, this will be the most difficult service of his life,” he said.
