On the day of the flood, the average water flow was 650 meters per second, while today it is 140 meters per second. Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan said at a press conference held at the Information Center opened in Alaverdi.
He noted that the normal workflow of the Bagratashen crossing has been restored.
“There are seven settlements on the left bank of the river, which are cut off from Alaverdi. Now, attempts are being made to get a temporary footbridge by using the existing damaged section of the Akhtala bridge,” the minister said.
