The EU and the EAEU are incompatible, and the appearance of extra-regional players in Armenia “will have consequences”, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said during the 10th International Forum “Primakov Readings”.
According to him, the political course of Armenia is gradually turning toward the West. He also pointed out certain grievances of the Armenian society against Russia.
“In any case, there is such a point of view, and it should be understood, but it should also be understood that the EU and the EAEU are incompatible. We pay for our security and strategic depth, therefore, the appearance of extra-regional players will of course have its consequences,” Overchuk said.
