Minsk invited Armenia to participate in the parade to be held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, but, for subjective reasons, Armenia refused to attend, Secretary of the State Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich stated.
“Armenia is still a member of the CSTO; it is invited to all forums,” he noted.
Another international event, the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS, is taking place in the capital of Belarus these days.
“Armenia was also invited, but due to subjective reasons (we understand what those reasons are), unfortunately, the Armenian delegation did not arrive, although the grandfathers and great-grandfathers of the Armenian people participated in the liberation of Belarus and the Soviet Union and fought in the Great Patriotic War,” Volfovich said.
