Vladimir Gasparyan and Levon Yeranosyan found guilty but granted amnesty

Vladimir Gasparyan was found guilty, sentenced to six years in prison, but released under an amnesty.

Under one of the articles, he was released from serving the punishment on the basis of the expiration of the statute of limitations, and under another article, he was sentenced to a total of six years in prison, but was given an amnesty.

A similar decision was made in the case of Levon Yeranosyan, the former commander of the police forces, who was involved in the same case. He was also sentenced to imprisonment and then granted an amnesty. Both announced their decision to appeal against the verdict.

To remind, Vladimir Gasparyan was involved in cases of abuse of authority, official forgery and particularly large-scale embezzlement of state funds, as a result of which the state suffered a loss of 114 million AMD.
