Italy to suspend automatic renewal of defense agreement with Israel

Italian PM Giorgia Meloni has announced the suspension of the automatic renewal of a defense agreement with Israel, according to Al Jazeera.

“In view of the current situation, the government has decided to suspend the automatic renewal of the defence agreement with Israel,” Meloni said on the sidelines of an event in Verona.

The agreement involves the exchange of military equipment and technology research, news agencies reported.
