Erdoğan: Turkey will not turn its back on those who place their hopes in it and suffer Injustice
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has accused Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip and turning the Palestinian enclave into the world's largest concentration camp, TASS reports.
"The truce observed by our Palestinian brothers has been violated thousands of times by the Israeli government. Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 11, 2025, 1,500 Palestinians have been killed and more than 5,000 injured as a result of [Israeli] attacks. The criminal network perpetrating genocide in Gaza, which considers itself above international law, has turned it into the world's largest concentration camp," Erdoğan said at an international legal forum in Istanbul.
According to him, the Jewish state views peace and tranquility in the region "as a threat to itself."
"Israel's aggressive actions are a test for all of humanity," the Turkish leader noted, recalling that Ankara had previously completely halted trade with Israel and joined the lawsuit initiated by South Africa against the Jewish state at the International Court of Justice, accusing it of violating the Genocide Convention in the Gaza Strip.
"Turkey is ready to endure hardships if necessary, but it will not turn its back on those who place their hopes in it and suffer injustice. Until the perpetrators of the genocide in Gaza are held accountable, there can be no talk of justice in the international system," Erdoğan stated.
