Erdogan: We hope that a peace treaty will be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia

We hope that a peace treaty will be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia and that peace will prevail, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference following the NATO summit in Washington in response to the question as to whether a peace treaty can be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan by the end of the year.

“We want to see that reconciliation as soon as possible,” Erdogan noted.

According to him, the authorities of both Armenia and Azerbaijan are taking positive steps in that direction.
