Sergei Shoigu, the secretary of the Security Council of Russia, commented on the incident related to the murder of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas. Shoigu stated that this issue can in no way be overlooked.
In an interview with Russian TV channel Russia 24, Shoigu said that the cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in various fields is expanding rapidly.
He added that at the meeting with the newly elected president of Iran and the secretary of the country’s Supreme National Security Council, Masoud Pezeshkian, they discussed a wide range of issues, including the situation in Syria and Lebanon. Issues related to the International North-South Transport Corridor were also discussed at the meeting.
