Ukrainian president’s office head and US assistant state secretary discuss situation on battlefield

Andriy Yermak, the head of the office of the president of Ukraine, informed U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien, now in Kyiv, about the situation in the combat zone, the website of the Office of the Ukrainian President writes.

Yermak thanked U.S. President Joe Biden and his team, as well as Congress, “for helping Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, in particular, in strengthening its defense capabilities”.

Yermak and O’Brien discussed the situation on the battlefield and the status of defense agreements between Ukraine and the U.S.

The head of the Ukrainian president’s office highlighted “the importance of increasing the pressure of sanctions against Russia—the aggressor state”.
