In today’s session, the Yerevan Council of Elders deprived Public Voice Party former members Anush Ginosyan and Anush Khudaverdyan of their seats.
The initiative was introduced by the faction itself. They say the opposition members failed to attend the meetings of the Council of Elders and those of the commissions.
The members of the Council of Elders, deprived of their seats, in turn, blame their former teammates for making a deal with Tigran Avinyan and claim that they have been deprived of their seats because of their oppositional views.
Grigor Yeritsyan, the leader of the National Progress Party of Armenia, was also deprived of his seat, again for being absent from the Council of Elders and commissions’ sessions.
Yeritsyan also considers it illegal, claiming that this is a political retaliation against him.
