There is almost no food in the shops of Akhtala, Rev. Fr. Hetum Tarverdyan, the pastor of Akhtala and neighboring villages under the Diocese of Gougark, said this in a Facebook post.
“Dear friends, connection has finally been restored here.
We are fine. Thank God we have suffered no human casualties. But we are in complete blockade. The road into the city is destroyed; the water supply is disrupted. There is almost no food in the shops,” Fr. Hetum Tarverdyan wrote.
